Living Too Hard aw10
“Living Too Hard” is inspired by the fast and destructive life of Rock & Roll artists. The Tragic side of this “living on the edge” lifestyle and the way media reports on this lead to the designer’s investigation about Rock & Roll and grunge music style. Bas’s strong desire to design a more approachable Prêt-a-Porter line influenced the choice of cool and wearable pieces that are all finished with a raw edge. He chose natural materials such as cotton and wool, which he then treated with several dying techniques displaying his artist approach and unique signature handwriting.
This is the first collection featuring a darker color palette than one would generally expect from Bas Kosters; ranging from pitch black and hand died degrade cotton flower to more subdued colors such as ash greys, anthracites and light purples.
